About Me - Laura Woodworth
In other words, the glory of God WILL cover the earth. This is not a conditional statement… except as it concerns YOU and your participation in it. I, for one, am choosing to be a participant in this great movement of God. Will you join me in this great venture?
My husband, Alan, and I have had a heart for the nations ever since 1982 when God spoke to us in a little country church in Minco, Oklahoma. Since then, we’ve done what we could to be involved in seeing the nations worship God.
We’ve lived in Mexico for several years, working with a bible school there as well as interim pastoring and heading up a Christian drug and alcohol rehab center. Alan’s done several well-planned church planting trips to Russia and Benin and also served a ministry in Honduras. We were part of the team that wrote our first home church’s mission policy as well as serving on the board to raise the awareness and support of mission work around the world. We’ve got friends in many countries around the world and appreciate the richness they’ve added to our lives!
Actually it was the nations that led us to where we’re at right now - World Revival Church in Kansas City. We moved to be a part of this church-in-revival over nine years ago so that we could be mentored and grow and bring something relevant and powerful to the nations. We’ve taught a few classes in the World Revival School of Ministry, one of which is called Cross-Cultural Ministry.
My hope with this blog is to break the mold of what people see as “mission work” and REVIVE minds to what God is doing in the earth today and what our participation should be in that. Hopefully what I share will help those of you who are considering cross-cultural ministry - or are already out there doing it. -Laura Woodworth
