Remember - global revival is possible… it is predetermined as part of God’s plan. The conditional aspect of it is your participation! Are you in revival? How can you know?
I like Kathy Gray’s definition of revival, “vigorous life coming to the half-dead!” (Steve and Kathy Gray pastor World Revival Church. See Friends/Resources above.) You may be a Christian, but if you’ve been in the religious system for long, I can almost guarantee that YOU NEED REVIVAL!
Revival means seeing God for who He is and being absolutely, fiercely devoted to Him. It also means seeing yourself for WHO YOU REALLY ARE. None of this feel-good, seeker-sensitive, we’re all good people theology… but really allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work in your life… letting Him convict you of sin, righteousness, and judgement.
In other words, take a good hard look at yourself through the Holy Spirit and through the Spirit-inspired Word of God. Once you get a good look at yourself, you’ll be desperate for God’s “vigorous life” coming to you!
With hearts for the nations, we must be people of revival. The world has had enough of half-hearted, man-pleasing ineffective religion. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE - check out what’s happening in revival at World Revival Church. The articles and brief video clips will help you experience God’s reviving power for yourself.
Also, I’ve added a new book to my Friends/Resource page. Available October 28th, “My Absurd Religion” is a must-read for anyone who really wants to bring the powerful presence of God to the nations. (Click on this link and you can preview the first chapter of this by Steve Gray!) The World is waiting for some good news… I hope you will make every effort to be an effective minister of the gospel. -Laura Woodworth

The only way we’re ever going to see global revival is to first see revival in our own churches. If you’ve got a heart for the nations, I hope you’re doing everything you can to see God move in your hometown church service.
“It doesn’t bother us if we have a service where God doesn’t come down,” was how Worship Pastor Dustin Smith of World Revival Church described the condition of MOST of our hearts. Don’t allow yourself to live like that - get desperate… and get God in your life. Then we’ll start seeing the nations worship God. -Laura Woodworth

Nations in revival… that is what we’re after when we talk cross-cultural ministry! Global revival happens because God’s people are praying effectively AND ministering effectively - in His mighty power!
I’m in the middle of a 100-day prayer saturation of Mexico, wanting to see the glory of God cover this nation and for there to be a vibrant church raised up that exists in revival! First thing I did in praying for Mexico is read the entry about this nation in my tattered Operation World book. Pulling from that and from my family’s experiences when we lived in Mexico, with an ear to the Holy Spirit I started discerning the strongholds of this nation. What are the things that need to be pulled down… so that there can be some planting and building up?
How about oppression, corruption (in the government and in the church!), the poverty mentality, the spirit of religion that’s holding people in bondage! A main stronghold is the Catholic religion that is full of sycretism, dabblings in witchcraft, idolatry, and major oppression of the people. Whew - that’s quite enough to get you started in some spiritual warfare for this nation!
These are just some ideas to get you thinking about how YOU’RE praying for a nation, a neighborhood, a family member. Get them free from the cords that are strangling God’s destiny in them, and then you can start seeing some life. More later… Laura Woodworth

Nations! Revival! The glory of God covering the earth as the waters cover the sea. This is do-able AND it is inevitable.
In other words, the glory of God WILL cover the earth. This is not a conditional statement… except as it concerns YOU and your participation in it. I, for one, am choosing to be a participant in this great movement of God. Will you join me in this great venture? Excerpt from “About Me” - Laura Woodworth

Gaining a Global Worldview: My husband, Alan, and I have had a heart for the nations ever since 1982 when God spoke to us in a little country church in Minco, Oklahoma. Since then, we’ve done what we could to be involved in seeing the nations worship God.
What that means in real life is we’ve drug our four kids (little then!) around Mexico for a few years, sent Alan off to Russia, Benin and Honduras, helped write our church’s mission policy and did what we could to support missionaries we knew (many of whom are our dear friends), and made wonderful international friends. (oh yeah - this includes making our kids eat breakfast with a world map looming before them at the breakfast bar every morning… which reminds me - which one of you added that island in the Atlantic??)
Actually it was the nations that led us to where we’re at right now - World Revival Church in Kansas City. We moved to be a part of this church-in-revival over nine years ago so that we could be mentored and grow and bring something relevant and powerful to the nations. We’ve taught a few classes in the World Revival School of Ministry, one of which is called Cross-Cultural Ministry.
My hope with this blog is to break the mold of what people see as “mission work” and REVIVE minds to what God is doing in the earth today and what our participation should be in that. Hopefully what I share will help those of you who are considering cross-cultural ministry - or are already out there doing it. -Laura Woodworth Click on “About Me” at the top of the website for more.

Are the nations on your heart? Do you want to see the glory of God cover the earth as the waters cover the sea? Global evangelization is possible and global revival is inevitable.
