Help for missionaries - revival!

Missions - or any kind of ministry - can be challenging and rewarding. It can also lead to burn out if you’re not experiencing God’s presence in powerful ways.

The bible says that we are changed from glory to glory. So what happens if you’re not experiencing God’s glory? Obviously, change is not happening… and after a while, the zeal goes, the fire leaves, and you’re left with the day to day grind of life.

Every little problem becomes a mountain of frustration and your heart grows colder and harder with each passing day.

Although any type of ministry can be tiring and difficult at times, there should be joy in the work and increasing strength in the war of it.

You must get in the place of God’s glory. Glory can happen in those quiet times with Him… and should be happening in the corporate settings as well.

Please, if you’re feeling dry and losing your vision for your mission, connect to the revival at World Revival Church. It’s easy through streaming video and even through Daystar as they air these services live every Friday. If possible, make plans to visit Kansas City and experience God’s glory firsthand.

We need good missionaries. And good missionaries need God’s glory. -Laura Woodworth

P.S. If you think I sound like a commercial for World Revival Church, then you’ll have to understand how many hundreds - possibly thousands - of pastors and leaders have been touched and dramatically changed through this revival. God is doing something special here - especially for ministries. Trust me… YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE THIS REVIVAL.

Let’s touch the nations with POWER!

Fun mission tip #1 - for families

Okay, so you’re out on the road and traveling to only-God-knows-where and places-where-only-diehard-missionaries would go, with 3 kids and another on the way.

You’re in a hotel room with 2 beds.

What would you do?

Here’s my first all time favorite tip for survival when you’re going places for God with your family.

Strip the top sheet and line your sweet little willing vessels sideways on that mattress. Cover them with their favorite blanket and you’re ready to turn out the lights.

Works best on a double bed. Can be done on a single, but only if you angle them correctly.

You think I’m joking? Ask my kids!

Wherever you go, make sure you go out REVIVED, with the powerful presence of God in your family and flowing through your lives. The last thing the nations need is more dead, dry religion.

Visit World Revival Church for revival in your life and ministry. Don’t leave home without it!

Nations in revival… nations in turmoil

Speaking of all hell breaking loose (see previous post on prayer)… the terrorist attacks in Mumbia, the takeover in Congo, and in our own good old U.S - a Walmart employee trampled to death by Black Friday shoppers. Okay, maybe the shopping thing seems trivial with the other larger scale happenings in the world, but all these simply point to the fact that we need global revival.

We need to see nations getting in touch with the living God, and Christians fearless in their faith raising a standard in the nations that pushes back the darkness of humanity.

Where are you at? Are you living the typical American passive Christianity (sorry!) or are you living a life of righteousness and connection to your God that everything you do or say or pray pushes back darkness and advances the Kingdom of God? I believe that if we live our lives right before God, then every breath we breathe lets the enemy know - in no uncertain terms - that Jesus is Lord, that Christ MUST reign.

If you’re truly connected to Your God, then your life will count in this great battle. If you’re disconnected, I encourage you to do everything you can to reestablish your life with God.

Daystar Television Network is going to be airing the services at World Revival Church every Friday at December. They have preempted regular programming because of the high value they have put on sharing this revival with the world. I suggest you put a greater value on your relationship with God in these times of turmoil and get yourself to revival. Make the trip to Kansas City and start taking an active part in what God is doing in the earth. Get revived… and start bringing revival to your world… and the nations. - Laura Woodworth

Forcefully Advance the Kingdom into the Nations

Did you know the Kingdom of God is advancing… with you or without you? It’s scriptural, and God will find a man to work through! If you’re desperate for God yourself, and desperate to see global revival, then you must grab hold of the Kingdom and get it in your life.

How do you know if you’ve got the Kingdom? Matthew 11, Jesus told John’s disciples to go tell John what they say through His ministry… signs of the Kingdom at hand! If you’re not seeing signs of God activity in your life, then you had probably better stir yourself to a greater revelation of who God is (Creator, Savior, Redeemer!) - and who you are (greatly in need of Him!) and GET DESPERATE. Break out of your religious self that holds you back and DO SOMETHING to get the Living God in your life.

The nations will come to the brightness of His rising, as the bible says. Will that brightness be in you?

Praying for the nations - Laura Woodworth

P.S. Pastor Steve Gray just preached this sermon, “Forcefully Advancing the Kingdom” on Friday, November 14th during the Revival Conference at World Revival Church. You can watch this sermon on streaming video archive by clicking here. Get yourself equipped and heart-ready to take revival to the nations!

What Do You Want to See in the Nations?

What do you want to see in the nations? What are you envisioning? If you’re working for and praying for vibrant churches filled with people of life and hope and POWER… THEN YOU’D BETTER BE THAT YOURSELF!

We just finished a revival conference at World Revival Church in Kansas City, with pastors joining us from all over the country and Canada as well. One of the pastors from Canada mentioned that he was seeing signs in his church suggesting that they were on the brink of revival. He knew that he needed to have revival personally to be able to lead his church in revival, and that’s why he came to WRC. He experienced the presence of God like he had never before… and got to sit under experienced leaders in revival - Pastors Steve and Kathy Gray and their leadership team. That pastor went home equipped to lead his congregation into revival.

If you’re serious about seeing the nations in revival - global evangelization coupled with global revival - then I suggest you quit talking about revival… and come and experience it for yourself. If revival is happening in Kansas City (which it is) then you would be stupid (sorry!! but true) to not visit and glean from what God is doing here. Quit the talk and get in your car or on a plane and come experience what you’ve been praying and talking about.

As another pastor commented from this past weekend’s services, “This is unbelievable. You have to come here. You’ve got to get here before the whole world finds out and you can’t get in the place.”

LIves are being dramatically impacted by God’s presence here. This is what we need to take to the nations or to your church in the good old USA. Watch this video (Revival at World Revival Church in Kansas City) and start envisioning the POWERFUL presence of God in YOU and in your ministry.

- Laura Woodworth (Alan and I will be here to welcome you when you visit World Revival Church! Hope to see some of our friends - SOON! This is what we left our home church of 17 years and many dear friends for… we KNEW that we needed to live in this AND be mentored in this so that we could live effective lives. It was a hard move, but we believe that what one friend said is so true, “You’re not leaving us - you’re LEADING.” Please follow the lead, friends, and come experience this revival with us.

A New Kind of Minister

The only way we’re going to finish the task of #1 global evangelization and #2 raising up a glorious church for God (global revival!) is for a new kind of minister to arrive on the scene.

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about pastor appreciation month. To roughly quote: “Remember, these pastors are the ones who visit you in the hospital, give you a shoulder to cry on… etc., etc.” All I could think was this was a miserably wimpy picture of a pastor! Okay, okay, so sometimes we need the compassion of a shepherd, but if we have limited our ministers to the position of wet-nurse, then we will NEVER see global revival - at least not in our day.

How about if we say these pastors are the ones who PRAY with effective power for you to be healed if you’re sick… who TEACH YOU AND TRAIN YOU to stand firm in the day of distress…. who EQUIP YOU to carry the glory of God throughout the earth!!

Please, oh, please, if you’re going to minister to the nations, make sure you have received the power to do so. The last thing the world needs is another person bringing a watered-down, westernized, ineffective “gospel.”

God’s power and presence is available to everyone. You just have to want it desperately enough to push past your preconceived notions to get it. Be a new kind of minister… and let’s give God the glorious church He deserves! - Laura Woodworth
